Basketball Recap: Grafton's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Grafton came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over the Jamestown Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Clippers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Jakobe Brownlee, who went 9 for 17 en route to 25 points and three steals. Elijah Tisdale was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Grafton was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Grafton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. As for Jamestown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will face off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jamestown, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Jamestown Eagles duke it out with the York Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
