Meanwhile, Gulf Coast HEAT was able to grind out a solid win over Foundation Christian Academy on Thursday, taking the game 69-56.

Gulf Coast HEAT found their leader in sophomore Steven Scott, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 19 boards. With that strong performance, Scott is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Cayden Bosso, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points.

Gulf Coast HEAT smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Gulf Coast HEAT's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Families Instructing Students HomeSchool, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-6.
