With a playoff win on the line, Saranac rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 29-6 margin over the Gouverneur Wildcats. Considering the Spartans have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Branigan Boulds went supernova, throwing for 124 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 66 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Saranac and bumps their season record up to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Gouverneur, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Saranac wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 50-14 defeat against Schuylerville on the 22nd. Gouverneur does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
