Volleyball Game Preview: Canyon Lake Hawks vs. Davenport Wolves

Canyon Lake is 0-9 against Davenport since October of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hawks will head out to square off against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Canyon Lake beat Bandera 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Canyon Lake was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 23-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Davenport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Long Creek 3-0 on Friday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Davenport was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Canyon Lake's record now sits at 21-14. As for Davenport, their record is now 32-8.

Canyon Lake suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Davenport in their previous matchup on October 3rd. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
