Softball Recap: Princeton Panthers vs. McKinney Boyd Broncos

Princeton had lost eight straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 4-21-1 to make it nine. They lost 13-0 to the McKinney Boyd Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

As for McKinney Boyd, their record now sits at 17-12. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For McKinney Boyd's part, Sophia Vlahos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Vlahos was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, McKinney Boyd got a massive performance out of Brayden Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Smith a new career-high. Addyson Lewis was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

As of now, neither Princeton nor McKinney Boyd have any future games scheduled.
