Softball Recap: Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Griffith Panthers.

Raelyn Koesters was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Abagail Weaver was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Griffith, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran will venture away from home to face off against Fort Wayne Snider at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Griffith, they will head out to square off against Hammond Bishop Noll at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
