Fremont and Gardena are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Pathfinders will square off against the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Fremont didn't have quite enough to beat Harbor Teacher and fell 6-5. The Pathfinders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pedro Coranado was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. James Harris was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Gardena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to Chavez.

Derek Norris and Francisco Pavon did some serious damage despite the final result: Norris scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Pavon went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Gardena's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Fremont couldn't quite finish off Gardena in their previous meeting back in March and fell 3-1. Can the Pathfinders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
