Basketball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

If Columbus was riding high fresh off their 65-25 takedown of Lake Mills last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Columbus Cardinals took a 58-44 bruising from the Poynette Pumas on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled against the Pumas recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Poynette, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Columbus will square off against Deerfield at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Poynette, they will challenge Berlin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
