Preview: Jacksonville Fightin' Indians vs. Henderson Lions
Jacksonville is on a six-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Henderson a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians will take on the Henderson Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Jacksonville had to suffer through a rough 49-14 loss at the hands of Lindale. Jacksonville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
Despite their defeat, Jacksonville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jermaine Taylor, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 49 receiving yards, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Radarrius Sirls, who rushed for 105 yards.
Meanwhile, Henderson suffered a rough 41-16 loss at the hands of Palestine on Friday.
Although Henderson took the loss, they still got scores from Jordan Smiley and Jabraden King.
The losses dropped Jacksonville to 0-9 and Henderson to 1-8.
Jacksonville beat Henderson 44-35 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Does Jacksonville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Henderson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
