Softball Game Preview: Mars Fightin' Planets vs. Penn Hills Indians

The Mars Fightin' Planets will head out on the road to square off against the Penn Hills Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mars and seven for Penn Hills.

Mars came up short against Plum on Wednesday, falling 12-1.

Mars saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laura Craska, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Penn Hills fell victim to New Castle and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 24-0 to the Hurricanes.

Mars' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Penn Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Mars took their victory against Penn Hills in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 18-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fightin' Planets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
