Baseball Recap: Lakeway Christian Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It's playoff time, and Lakeway Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Silverdale Academy Seahawks on Thursday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 13-4 victory the Seahawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Lakeway Christian Academy got a great performance from Chasen Lovin as he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brock Mauk, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Kyler Worsham was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Lakeway Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 21-12. As for Silverdale Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.

Lakeway Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Seahawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
