Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Trojans vs. Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers
Even though the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans still came out on top. Tattnall Square Academy walked away with a 67-55 win over Mount de Sales Academy. Tattnall Square Academy pushed the score to 60-34 by the end of the third, a deficit Mount de Sales Academy cut but never quite recovered from.
Tattnall Square Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Antone Johnson out in front who scored 22 points. Ty Hunnicutt was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The win made it two in a row for Tattnall Square Academy and bumps their season record up to 17-4. As for Mount de Sales Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Tattnall Square Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Georgia Military College at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Georgia Military College is coming into the game with nine straight losses on the road, meaning Tattnall Square Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they will square off against John Milledge Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. John Milledge Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mount de Sales Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
