Volleyball Recap: Flanagan Falls Despite Big Games from Daniel Chang and Oscar Benitez

Flanagan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Flanagan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Oscar Benitez, who had 23 digs and one assist, and Daniel Chang, who had 12 digs. Benitez has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Flanagan's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Flanagan will be playing at home against Hollywood Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they will welcome Monarch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
