Corona del Mar quarterback had five incompletions all night.

The quarterback names out of Orange County are long and impressive — Carson Palmer. Matt Leinart. Todd Marinovich. Matt Barkley. Sam Darnold. JT Daniels.

All of them played high school football in the OC.

If he hadn't before, Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, Calif.) senior Ethan Garbers etched his name to that esteemed list on Friday night. In fact, he topped them all.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Washington commit completed 24-of-29 passes for a school-record 491 yards and eight touchdowns, which the Orange County Register called a county record, during a 57-14 win over Downey.

Garbers broke his own school record of 476 yards, the newspaper wrote, and broke the county record of seven touchdowns. He had big games from Stanford-bound receiver John Humphreys (seven catches, 163 yards) and Bradley Schlom, who caught three touchdowns each. Simon Hall, a 6-3, 193-pound senior, had four catches for 160 yards and another score.

"Credit to my offensive line and receivers," Garbers told the Register. "They did all the work, I just spread the ball around. Everyone I threw to got a touchdown. I love it."

Garbers, who threw for 4,138 yards and 55 touchdowns last season, is ranked the 12th-ranked pro style quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports.

He picked the Huskies over Boise State, Colorado and Georgia, among others. He currently has a reported 12 offers.
