Granbury waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Birdville Hawks a 1-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Granbury saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Riley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Riley hit this season.

Granbury's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Birdville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Coming up, Granbury will welcome Azle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Birdville, they will venture away from home to challenge Trinity at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
