Basketball Game Preview: Walnut Ridge Scots vs. Independence 76ers

The Walnut Ridge Scots will venture away from home to square off against the Independence 76ers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Walnut Ridge lost to Colerain on the road by a 56-37 margin.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 39-23 to Linden-McKinley.

Walnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Walnut Ridge against Independence in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-27 win. Will Walnut Ridge repeat their success, or does Independence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
