Baseball Recap: Raymond/South Bend Victorious

Raymond/South Bend took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Forks, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Ravens had just enough and edged out the Spartans 6-5. This was payback for the Ravens, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Raymond/South Bend saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolen Miller, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Tyler Tracey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Raymond/South Bend and bumps their season record up to 3-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Forks, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Raymond/South Bend will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
