Baseball Game Preview: JC Bermudez Doral Thunder vs. Palmer Trinity Falcons

The JC Bermudez Doral Thunder will square off against the Palmer Trinity Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

JC Bermudez Doral lost 10-2 to Western on Monday. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yan Cartaya made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Jose Herrera was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Palmer Trinity took on Stoneman Douglas on Tuesday. Palmer Trinity took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stoneman Douglas.

Miles Tolmach was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Palmer Trinity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lorenzo Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another was Tommy Barcinas Jr., who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

JC Bermudez Doral's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Palmer Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
