Softball Recap: Galileo Comes Up Short

Galileo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 13-8 to the Lincoln Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in February.

Galileo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galileo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Balboa at 3:30 p.m. on April 22. As for Lincoln, they will challenge Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln's pitchers better be ready for this one: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory has averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
