Basketball Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

Toms River North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Donovan Catholic Griffins. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-49 back in December of 2024.

Toms River North's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Donovan Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Toms River North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-48 defeat against Central Regional on the 23rd. As for Donovan Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-42 win against Lacey Township on the 22nd.
