Football Recap: Caleb Bell and George Brown Pace Bartow Defense + How To Watch

After flying high against Haines City last Friday, Bartow came back down to earth. The Yellow Jackets came up short against the Auburndale Bloodhounds on Friday, falling 28-6. The contest marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even if they lost, Bartow's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Caleb Bell and George Brown, who racked up all four sacks between them. Brown also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Bartow received some extra help from Jaziah Battle, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Bartow now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Auburndale, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Bartow wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 35-29 victory against Bloomingdale on the 26th. As for Auburndale, they have also already played their next game, a 37-3 loss against Jones on the 26th.
