Baseball Recap: Eagan Comes Up Short

The Eagan Wildcats came up short against the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders on Saturday and fell 10-6.

Brandon Lunneborg was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Tate Gage was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Eagan's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagan will challenge Shakopee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Sabers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, they will face off against Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
