Softball Recap: Borger's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Borger came into Tuesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Perryton Rangers on Tuesday as Borger made off with a 19-6 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kinlee Breedlove, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kadi Wise, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.

Borger's victory bumped their record up to 6-21. As for Perryton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Borger will challenge rival West Plains at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Perryton is set to take on their familiar foe Randall at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
