Volleyball Game Preview: John Battle Trojans vs. Abingdon Falcons + How To Watch

The John Battle Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Abingdon Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

John Battle will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Ridgeview, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wolfpack on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Abingdon got the win against Central Wise on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Abingdon never let Central Wise on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-10, 25-13.

John Battle's record is now 15-5. As for Abingdon, their record now sits at 23-2.

John Battle couldn't quite get it done against Abingdon when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
