Volleyball Recap: North Pemiscot Triumphs

North Pemiscot saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lesterville Bearcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Cheyanne Sawyer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, getting eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Sawyer wasn't the only good server: North Pemiscot was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

North Pemiscot's record now sits at 8-1-1. As for Lesterville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Looking ahead, North Pemiscot will be playing in front of their home fans against Gideon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lesterville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Zalma on the 13th.
