Football Recap: Tagg Rich Leads Morgan's Defense on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ridgeline, Morgan was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Sky View Bobcats by a score of 35-27. The Trojans pushed the score to 35-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Cade Randall was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 263 yards and four TDs. 83 of those passing yards were hauled in by Eli Mortensen, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Morgan's run defense was locked in: Sky View could only muster 0.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Noah Birkeland for the heroic effort on defense: he. Morgan's ground attack was stronger, having averaged three.

Morgan's defense didn't let Jack Clark., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Tagg Rich was especially locked on to Sky View's QB and sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Bobcats' side was Birkeland, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Sky View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Clark, who threw for 385 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Lincoln Ballard was Clark's top target, picking up 90 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
