            Basketball Recap: Carlisle Thundering Herd vs. Cumberland Valley Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Carlisle lost against Cumberland Valley back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Carlisle Thundering Herd fell  63-54 to the Cumberland Valley Eagles.
  Nolan Buzalka went supernova for Cumberland Valley,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 26 points and nine  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Creston Austin, who  went 7 of 11 on his way to 14 points and seven  rebounds.
Carlisle's defeat was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Cumberland Valley,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-1.
 Carlisle will challenge Central Dauphin at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cumberland Valley, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Chambersburg  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Chambersburg knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Cumberland Valley likes a good challenge.
