Basketball Recap: Hereford Piles Up the Points Against Owings Mills

Hereford came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Owings Mills Golden Eagles to the tune of 64-23. Given the Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hereford has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Owings Mills, they dropped their record down to 0-11-1 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Hereford will welcome Kenwood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hereford is facing Kenwood at the right time seeing as Kenwood is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Owings Mills, they will venture away from home to take on Loch Raven at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
