Basketball Recap: Central Academy Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Central Academy Falcons were beaten by the Whiteford Bobcats 65-8. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Bobcats are ranked 190th).

This is the second loss in a row for Central Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Whiteford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons challenge the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Academy is facing Old Redford Academy at the right time seeing as Old Redford Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Whiteford, they will take on Britton Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
