Acadiana made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Barbe, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Acadiana Rams' way against the Barbe Buccaneers on Tuesday as the Acadiana Rams made off with a 14-1 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Acadiana, bringing their record for this year to 8-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Barbe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Acadiana will face off against Southside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Acadiana's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Southside's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Barbe, they will challenge New Iberia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barbe has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
