Fowler skates past Walsenburg with ease

Recap: Fowler Grizzlies vs. Walsenburg Panthers

The Fowler Grizzlies posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They breezed by Walsenburg on the road to the tune of 56-11. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-5.

Fowler was led to victory by Randi Maestas and Clara Huner. Maestas scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Huner dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Osborne, who scored six points along with four steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Fowler and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Walsenburg, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fowler will take on Peyton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peyton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Walsenburg, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Swink at 5:00 p.m. Swink is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
