Basketball Recap: Gladstone Comes Up Short

Gladstone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 59-22 defeat at the hands of the Seaside Seagulls. The Gladiators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seagulls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Gladstone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Seaside, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Gladstone and Seaside could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Gladstone (ranked 200th) will meet Sutherlin (ranked 21st) at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Seaside will challenge Marist at 5:30 p.m. on Monday down 98 places (142 vs. 44).
