Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Summit Christian Academy faced off against Greenwood on Saturday. The Summit Christian Academy Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to the Greenwood Blue Jays. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Jays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Summit Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Greenwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Christian Academy and Drexel will compete for holiday cheer at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenwood will take on Laquey in a holiday battle at at 1:30 p.m. on December 21st.
