Volleyball Recap: Greeley West Spartans vs. Broomfield Eagles
Greeley West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broomfield Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Nadia Serrano paced Greeley West's offense, picking up three kills. Serrano got some help from Mya Salazar and her seven assists.
Broomfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooklyn Kessler, who had 15 assists and five digs. Madi Thistle also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Broomfield, their record now sits at 4-9.
Coincidentally, Greeley West and Broomfield will both be playing Weld Central the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Rebels at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
