Football Recap: Gabe Campbell and Ben Allen Secure Win for Young Americans Christian

Young Americans Christian won the last time they faced New Creation Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 38-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Young Americans Christian was led to victory by Ben Allen and Gabe Campbell. Allen threw for 336 yards and five TDs on only 19 passes, while Campbell gained 163 total yards and three touchdowns. Allen's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Dylan Simmonds was Allen's top target, picking up 163 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Young Americans Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for New Creation Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Young Americans Christian will host Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st.
