Basketball Recap: Mercedes Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Mercedes won the last time they faced Donna and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mercedes Tigers walked away with a 48-38 victory over the Donna Redskins.

Mercedes found their leader in freshman Eric Lozoya, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. Jeramiah Rodriguez was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Mercedes pushed their record up to 8-13 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Donna, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Mercedes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-53 defeat against Weslaco East on the 10th. As for Donna, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-34 loss against Porter on the 10th.
