Recap: Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets vs. South Effingham Mustangs
There's no place like home for the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They blew past South Effingham 84-59. Given Southeast Bulloch's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while South Effingham is ranked 411th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, South Effingham had strong showings from Will Harlin, who scored 16 points, and Corbin McGuire, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals. Nelson Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
The victory got Southeast Bulloch back to even at 3-3. As for South Effingham, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Bulloch will take on Effingham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Effingham, they will head out on the road to face off against Burke County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
