Leiland McCallep was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fitzgerald is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. McCallep was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
