The Soldotna Stars will square off against the Wasilla Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Soldotna is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 8.2 goals per game this season.

Soldotna's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Redington as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Soldotna.

Their offense was hitting Redington from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Willets Simon led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Wasilla sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Homer on Thursday.

Wasilla is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season. As for Soldotna, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Soldotna was able to grind out a solid victory over Wasilla in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, winning 2-0. Will the Stars repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
