Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Falls Short of Greenbrier West in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trinity Christian can now relate to. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenbrier West Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Moore and Josalyn Phillips did some serious damage despite the final result: Moore went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Phillips went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Phillips has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Greenbrier West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Trinity Christian nor Greenbrier West have any future games scheduled.
