Basketball Recap: Taliaferro County Takes a Loss

Taliaferro County lost against Warren County back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Taliaferro County JAGUARS took a blow against the Warren County Screaming Devils, falling 96-43. The JAGUARS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Cosa Pender, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 19 points and seven steals for Warren County. With that strong performance, Pender is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Torossie Leslie, who posted nine points along with five assists and three steals.

Taliaferro County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Warren County, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Taliaferro County will head out to face off against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warren County, they will welcome Washington-Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Warren County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
