Basketball Preview: Brunswick Pirates vs. Richmond Hill Wildcats
The Brunswick Pirates will be playing at home against the Richmond Hill Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Brunswick unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 84-54 defeat at the hands of Grovetown. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brunswick in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Brunswick had strong showings from Caleb Butler, who scored 14 points along with four steals, and Craig Battle, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Lane, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Richmond Hill's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lowndes.
Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Richmond Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.
