Basketball Game Preview: Lausanne Collegiate Lynx vs. Trezevant Bears

Lausanne Collegiate is on a three-game streak of home losses, Trezevant a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Lausanne Collegiate Lynx will host the Trezevant Bears at 4:00 p.m. Lausanne Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.

Lausanne Collegiate saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 69-62 to Jefferson City. While losing is never fun, the Lynx can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 154th in Tennessee, while the Jays are ranked 36th in Missouri).

Despite the defeat, Lausanne Collegiate saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zuri Mcclure went 8 of 13 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marion Brewer, who posted six points and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Trezevant was beaten by Memphis East 79-46 last Friday.

Trezevant's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Everything went Lausanne Collegiate's way against Trezevant when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as Lausanne Collegiate made off with a 62-42 win.
