Alexander owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past the United Longhorns 7-0. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Longhorns on Tuesday, they had to take a 7-2 defeat.

Alexander has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for United, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-11.

Looking ahead, Alexander will challenge Sinton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. United does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
