Volleyball Recap: Diamond Bar Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bonita last Wednesday, Diamond Bar came back down to earth. The Brahmas lost 3-0 to the Glendora Tartans on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Brahmas in their meetings with the Tartans: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Diamond Bar still got an impressive performance from Ava Furumoto, who had 11 digs and two aces. Furumoto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Glendora found their leader in sophomore Kaleia Zeits, who had 23 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorelei Adams, who had seven digs and three aces.

Diamond Bar's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Glendora, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Diamond Bar is set to square off against their familiar foe Ayala at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Glendora will face off against rival Claremont at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
