Softball Recap: Newman Smith Comes Up Short

Newman Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 36th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Highland Park Scots, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Newman Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Highland Park, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.

Looking ahead, Newman Smith will take on Creekview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland Park has already played their next game (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
