Baseball Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

Florence fell victim to Las Animas and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 20-0 to the Trojans. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Las Animas, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will face off against Colorado Springs Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Las Animas, they will square off against Crowley County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
