Softball Recap: Brownwood Comes Up Short

Brownwood was the 14-4 winner over Mineral Wells when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Brownwood fell 10-6 to Mineral Wells on Friday.

Chloe Walls made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lila Mares, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Walls wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Brownwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Brownwood's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Mineral Wells, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
