Softball Recap: Southeast Alamance Takes a Loss

Southeast Alamance lost against Chatham Central back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Southeast Alamance fell just short of Chatham Central by a score of 10-8. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna Thomas and Katie Lloyd stepped up to the plate in a big way. Thomas scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Lloyd scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Lloyd has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. Addison Reich also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Southeast Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Chatham Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Southeast Alamance will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. As for Chatham Central, they will venture away from home to face off against North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatham Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: North Moore has averaged an impressive 12.4 runs per game this season.
