Volleyball Recap: Sara Fritts' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ragsdale over Leadership Academy + How To Watch

If Ragsdale was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dudley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Leadership Academy Falcons on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in December of 2020.

While Leadership Academy got the win, Ragsdale sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-20, 26-24.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sara Fritts, who had 15 digs.

Jacelyn Mitchell was nothing short of spectacular for Leadership Academy: she had 19 digs and two aces. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Ragsdale's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Leadership Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Ragsdale will head out to challenge Page at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leadership Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Millennium on the 28th.
